ACF704-0.65 AC Motor Control

ACF704-0.65 AC Motor Control

ACF Series

The ACF series is a microprocessor based variable frequency drive. The user adjustable trim pots allow the user to setup the drive similar to a DC motor control, meaning quick and easy installation without any of the programming typically associated with VFDs. The ACF704-0.65 model includes an isolation card for remote control with any 0-5V or 0-10V analog signal, as well either a PWM signal or by Modbus RTU. ACF series drives control 115 or 230 VAC motors, single or three phase, with either a 115 or 230 VAC single phase input. This is because the ACF drive is equipped with a voltage doubling capability that allows you to run a 230 VAC motor when only a 115 VAC single phase power is available. The drive’s internal carrier frequency can easily be changed from 16kHz to 1.6kHz to minimize switching losses or reduce electrical interference. Stopping methods include coast to stop or DC injection braking. Incorporated into the design is a microprocessor which provides flexibility of creating custom programs that can include specific user setting for OEM applications. These full featured and compact AC drives are the perfect choice to run any 3 phase and some single phase motors.

Potentiometer Kit 202-0159 is included with a purchase of the ACF704-0.65

UL 61800-5-1 Listed: Tested to the latest UL standard

MM Footprint: Industry standard mounting pattern developed by ACE

Compact Size: Smaller footprint than other MM mounting pattern controls to use minimal space

Microprocessor Based: Allows custom programming for OEMs

Variety of Motors: Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC), Shaded Pole, Synchronous, and 3Ø Induction

Doubler Mode: Will run 230 VAC motors with a 115 VAC line

Torque Foldback: Allows up to 200% torque for short periods to overcome intermittent peak loads, then reduces the torque to a (preset) safe level

Isolated Logic: Accepts floating or grounded 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 4-20 mA, or 24V 1kHz PWM signals

Selectable Auto/Manual Restart: Use a jumper to select if the drive should automatically restart after a fault condition clears

Adjustable Base Frequency: Can be set for 50 or 60 Hz at rated output voltage, regardless of input frequency

Selectable Switching Frequency: 12kHz for audibly quieter motor operation, 2kHz for less electrical noise and may prevent GFI tripping.

DC Injection Braking: Can be used for quicker braking

Thermally Protects: Drive recognizes when overheated as a result from overload. After flashing a warning code, it will trip if condition persists

Diagnostic LEDs: Power, Status (Torque Limit, Undervoltage, Overvoltage, Short Circuit, Overheat Warning, Overheat Trip)

User Adjustable Calibration Trim Pots: Minimum Speed, Maximum Speed, Torque Limit, Slip Compensation, Boost, Acceleration/Deceleration, Motor Overload Protection

Modus Communication: Modbus RTU over RS485
