4Q PWM

These drives are designed for 90, 130, 180 or 240 VDC regenerative motor applications. They are powered by a 50/60 Hz, 115 or 230 VAC line source and can control permanent magnet motors. With continuous current capacities up to 7 amps, these drives can control motors within the 1/20 to 1 1/2 HP range. PWM drives will allow a motor to run cooler, prolong motor brush life, increase speed range, and are less susceptible to noise on the AC line than their SCR counterparts. 4Q stands for 4-Quandrant, sometimes called “regenerative” or “bi-directional”. These drives can output voltage and current in two polarities. 4Q drives can oppose an overhauling load, decelerate a motor faster than the time it takes via a natural coast, and can reverse on-the-fly without the use of power contactors, relays, or switches.
